General Industries Limited (GIL) first commenced operations in the year 1972 on a small scale, with initial manufacturing paper cores, composite cans and various plastic items. In the year 1995, the company diversified and ventured into manufacturing of uPVC pipes and the first extrusion line was commissioned. General Industries limited is presently the leading uPVC pipe manufacturer and supplier in Kenya under the brand name of “GIL”, currently converting over 900 metric tonnes of PVC into pipes on a monthly basis.
