Hello! My name is Jiten Shah
and you have stumbled upon my personal site.

This site was developed as a personal online playground and portfolio. It will constantly be evolving and changing with me, so you never know what may be next. I hope you enjoy your stay and maybe even learn something.

Originally from Nairobi, Kenya now residing permanently in Vancouver – “The Beautiful British Columbia”, Canada.

I specialize in many different fields of IT but currently my primary focuses are on ERP systems and interface design: web, or anything viewable on a screen that makes you interact with it.

I worked in software and web development long, since 1988. For me, it’s not just work, it’s a passion! I’ve acquired most of my skills working for companies all over and also being a self-taught professional but I also have a strong background in IT and Software Development which helps me to go further on technical details and requirements. I do not cease until I get the best solution for every project. I’m a perfectionist and very persistent on getting things well done!

I spent 10 years in ERP business, implementing systems for medium to large sized companies and in the last 4 years, I developed a passion for web. I do the designing and development of websites. Although I do not consider myself as a programmer, I love to find simple and creative solutions to complex problems which result in clear and clean websites with a powerful user experience and high code performance.

I’m becoming much more passionate and interested in developing web applications, such as Content Management Systems (CMS) and eCommerce solutions. I like to build large and stable solutions that can evolve over time. I can also bring creativity and professionalism to every project I take on, which ensures that I am able to deliver high quality solutions.

This website was created to showcase the work I have produced in the past 4 years or so, as well as my daily (or more like monthly) thoughts and expressions. The site was build upon WordPress using Flex version 2.0.1 template. The main font used is League Gothic 400. The photography page uses phpFlickr and jQuery Lightbox. I use a pencil and paper to spit out what is in my head, PhotoShop to translate it into pixels. I hope you enjoy it.
